Site really slow

Hi: I'm browsing the site right now and the site has been slow today. Anyone else having issues

Site was slow about 7am this morning but somehow sped up for this post.

Eel you sent me a PM suggesting there were too many posts. No it isn't that, there are far too posts on the site for this to be too many posts. It may be that some fucking chinese spammers are attacking the site.

Right, I've done a number of things which should stop the slowness.
I'm re-indexing everything to make searches better, that'll take another hour.
I've moved avatars to a different directory which delivers them with less effort
Your feedback on whether the site is working for you would be appreciated.
