The Coca-Cola Championship Thread
One round remaining. Wolves are certain to be promoted. Birmingham are currently in 2nd place but Sheffield United may over take them depending on what happens this weekend. Charlton and Southampton are certain to go down. Norwich can only avoid going down if they win against Charlton (Which there is a reasonable chance of happening) and if Barnsley lose, sending Barnsley down. I don't want to see them go down, I were encouraged as they made the FA cup semis a year ago.
Here are the Fixtures:
Burnley v Bristol
Charlton v Norwich
Crystal Palace v Sheffield United
Reading v Birmingham
Preston North End v QPR
Ipswich v Coventry City
Nottingham Forest v Southampton
Plymouth v Barnsley
Sheffield Wednesday v Cardiff
Swansea v Blackpool
Watford v Derby Country
Wolves v Doncaster
(All kick off at 1:15pm Sunday local time) Kick off 10 or 11:15pm Sydney time on Sunday night.
Table
1. Wolves
2. Birmingham
3. Sheffield United
4. Reading
5. Cardiff
6. Burnley
7. Preston North End
....
21. Barnsley
(Drop Zone)
22. Norwich
23. Southampton
24. Charlton
After this weekend's games, the top 2 will go through and teams 3rd - 6th will go in a series to decide who goes up.
Very interesting time ahead.

I don't want to see Barnsley go down either so it'll have to be Norwich.
I have a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday

Indeed. I have a soft spot for Sheffield Wednesday. Will be hard for them against Cardiff though.

Re: The Coca-Cola Championship Thread
Wolves and Birmingham have gone straight up. Norwich, Southampton (If they get through the financial trouble they are in now) and Charlton have gone down.
In the playoffs, I'd like to see Sheffield United come up. If they do they will be very confident of paying West Ham back.
The playoffs are: Sheff Utd -v- Preston, and Reading -v- Burnley

So far Sheffield United v Reading is 1-1 and Burnley beat Reading 1-0. The return legs of the play offs are within the next two days.

Re: The Coca-Cola Championship Thread
Steve Coppell has left Reading as expected. Many guessed that he was gone even if they went up.
He's a funny fellow.
