Hamilton Accies thread
Many people follow huge clubs (Chelsea, Man U etc.) but I follow the tiny (but mighty) Hamilton Accies.
www.acciesfc.co.uk for the official site.
Accies have been quite the A-League feeder club, Fyfe, Carney and Scott Tunbridge all played there before coming back to Oz.
We are 10th but staying up this year. We came up to the Scottish premier league last season.
Most recently we drew with Iverness CT 1-1 but our next game is this Sunday morning against Kilmarnock.

You're correct. Many Scottish football fans overseas follow Celtic or Rangers.
The accies won precisely 2 games in the entire 1988 season, and the same when we came back up in 1990, we have to take our small triumphs where we can get them. Accies didn't even have a home ground for 7 years and at one point were 2nd last in the Scottish 3rd Division. We've been close to bankruptcy no less that four times in living memory.
Our very existence is a fucking miracle, and every game we get to play is a triumph, OF supporters with their deluded sense of superiority and their bland diet of hollow victories have no idea.
But most Accies fans wouldn't swap you all your league championships, all their Scottish Cups, all their League Cups and all their European wins for a single day as an Accies fan. And I am one of them

Re: Hamilton Accies thread
Simon Mensing - A German player in his 2nd year, isn't a bad player
James McCarthy - Is young but is a promising, has spent his entire career so far at Accies (3 years)
Chris Swailes - Is old, close to retirement but a good defender nonetheless and has been an integral part of the team.
