Red white and bluesters - Sydney Roosters Thread
Time you lot gained an appreciation of the mighty Sydney Roosters.
http://sydneyroosters.com.au/ for the official site.
We are 10th at the moment after an unlucky loss to the bronocos but this week we're against the warriors over the ditch which should be easier. Then we have the Dragons, Sharks, Storm, Knights, Panthers and Sea Eagles. A mix of easy and hard games over the next few weeks.

The roosters are a 40 minute side. They were leading 16-0 against the warriors but they fell behind and lost 17-16. Probably most roosters fans would be looking forward to Saturday as much as they look forward to going to the dentist

Re: Red white and bluesters - Sydney Roosters Thread
Since the beginning of 2008 we have been a 40 minute side, sometimes we play for the 1st half and not the second but in some games we play terrible until the 2nd but in most games it was too late. I wish I knew why the fuck this was

Big game on ANZAC Day for the chooks. Their team is like this
1. Perrett
2 Waqa
3 Sa
4 Soliola
5 SKD
6 Anasta
7 Pearce
8 O'Meley
9 Jaubs
10 FPN
11 Myles
12 Mason
13 Fitzgibbon
Reserves
14 Friend
15 Maubs
16 Paea
17 Shackleton
Good team. I am tipping you guys to win. Only on the fact that Dragons aren't invincibles, they have had a few short breaks, 4th game in 21 days.

I'm quite surprised only Mitchell Pearce got picked for the Origin team. Mark O'Meley, Braith Anasta and Craig Fitzgibbon missed out. Fitzy is probably dropping but I just can't understand why O'Meley and Anasta didn't get picked.
Anasta has come out and said he thinks his representitive career is over but I think he still has a couple of years of representitive playing left in him.

I'm going to the game today. Should be an interesting afternoon.
Re: Red white and bluesters - Sydney Roosters Thread
Today was horrible. Relived so many memories of the ANZAC day loss last year. The heat, the game, the frustration.
I cannot believe we didn't score. If this continues our crowds will decline. Our attack can't keep giving up when there is 1 tackle to go and give the ball away. Have a go, you may be lucky and score. Our defence has been horrid all year. We need to tighten up and not let players go on the run. It happened too many times.
The thing that got me is so many people are blaming the ref. For God's sake,
Do those people really think it is the ref not defending well?
Do those people really think those decisions cost us the game? They are wrong.
As my Dad said to me on the way home," When you're down 29-0 and the opposition is just too good, is it really the ref's fault".
Maybe if we lost only 29-28 maybe it might be but when it is 29-0 how can it be the ref's fault?
I do think we can win next week, we have only won twice and they have been huge wins over Parra and Canberra who aren't doing well. But if we don't beat the Fish (Cronulla) we are gone.

Don't worry you'll win against Cronulla if you can beat us.

Well I am confident we can. If we lose we're gone for the year.
Re: Red white and bluesters - Sydney Roosters Thread
We're favourites to win but only just. I am going I think we will win.
Confident as always

What a great game. I actually forgot how enjoyable a night at the footy can be when your team wins. It was a mixed night.
We didn't drop off in the 2nd half as much as we have all season, that was great. We were able to have possession of the ball so much and we were able to hold on when Cronulla nearly came back
Supporters wise. we Gave the Sharks a lesson in terms of support, but on the chants front there were too many length periods of silence.
The worst part of tonight was those girls deliberatly standing behind us and whining about our flags.

The roosters are in trouble. What do you think about Freddy, Nick? Will he go? I think the way you are going, Freddy is forfeiting his right to coach.

I agree Freddy is forfeiting his right to coach. The Knights will probably smash us this Saturday so I don't know why I'm going, clearly for social purposes.
